Hello, I am Kristen Jackson, Owner of Lit&Co. Candles. I have two huskies (Pepper + Stella), I’m a pretty decent cook, big into traveling, and am a rabid Radiohead fan. I am an Ohio native (Go Buckeyes!) but after eight years of living and loving it here, I have officially adopted Boise as my home.
Lit&Co. Candles was born out of a spare bedroom in a rental house from the first week I landed in Boise while I was working full time in supply chain/inventory management. I worked tirelessly to create a really well done product that smelled exactly like it was supposed to, with branding and styling that would fit in just about any space. I started solely online, shipping all over the country and around the world, but it wasn’t long before this fabulous city showed support for my fledgling brand and my candles were stocked in many boutiques and retailers around town.
It was with that support, combined with that of my wonderful husband Mark and the encouragement from friends and family, that I took the leap to leave my day job after one year and open Lit&Co. Candles brick and mortar retail location in downtown Boise, where we offered the option for people to make their own candles using our 80+ fragrances.
The brand has since moved to State Street and expanded to a second location in Hyde Park while experiencing truly humbling growth through not only the retail shops but wholesale, private label, and custom gifting as well. Inside both shops you will not only find lots of scents for home fragrance (and jewelry, art, home decor + more!) but a truly fantastic and helpful staff that I am thankful for every day.
