Kayla (Lala) Morgan grew up exploring the various landscapes of Idaho searching and digging for garnet, agate, quartz, and petrified wood with her grandfather. He taught her about the world by picking up what is so often overlooked, dismissed, or destroyed. Her interest in geology, the natural world, growth, and decay can be found throughout her work of both functional and sculptural pieces. She currently works as a full time potter in Garden City, Idaho.
